چکیده

The relation between stiffness of the blood vessel and ANS(autonomic nervous system) is observed by comparing the distribution of the PSD and the change of the PTT appeared the stiffness of the blood vessel at the pre-anaesthesia, sevoflurane anaesthesia and intubation after states. In this paper, PSD of the HRV well-known of the index of the ANS activity reflected the ANS activity according to anesthesia stages. Effect of LF during the anesthesia is similar to PTT changes. This means that PTT analysis is useful index reflecting the body state because of well appearing the ANS activity during svoflurane anestheisa. And this analysis is useful because the calculating method is simple and time is short compare with the method of HRV PSD. Key-Pulse transit time, Power spectral density, Autonomic nervous system, Heart rate variability, Sevoflurane, anesthesia

Comparison of hemodynamic changes of Propofol and Thiopental during

Introduction: General anesthesia is the most common technique for performance of various surgical procedures. Thiopental is the most common anesthetic agent for intravenous induction. Since the introduction of propofol as an anesthetic agent, its use has increased progressively and has become the drug of choice for induction of anesthesia in several conditions. The aims of this study were com...

Pulse Transit Time (PTT) Measurements During Laparoscopic and Open Abdominal Surgery: A Pilot Study in ASA I-II Female Patients

Background: The pulse transit time (PTT) is the time interval between the R-wave of the ECG and the appearance of the pulse wave in the periphery during the same cardiac cycle. PTT is influenced by various factors including sympathetic tone and vascular compliance. The authors assessed the effect of anesthesia, intubation and laparoscopic (LPS) versus laparotomic (LPT) surgery on PTT. Methods: ...

COMPARISON OF HEMODYNAMIC CHANGES DUE TO INTRAVENOUS OXYTOCIN INFUSION DURING GENERAL AND SPINAL ANESTHESIA IN ELECTIVE CESAREAN SECTION

Background & Aims: Postpartum hemorrhage is one of the life-threatening complications after labor and cesarean section. Its prevalence is 6 percent. Metratonia is the most common cause of this complication. Some medications can prevent it. Oxytocin is the most common uterine vasoconstrictor and is used routinely after delivery for decreasing hemorrhage. The aim of this study is to compare hemod...

The discriminatory value of cardiorespiratory interactions in distinguishing awake from anaesthetised states: a randomised observational study

Depth of anaesthesia monitors usually analyse cerebral function with or without other physiological signals; non-invasive monitoring of the measured cardiorespiratory signals alone would offer a simple, practical alternative. We aimed to investigate whether such signals, analysed with novel, non-linear dynamic methods, would distinguish between the awake and anaesthetised states. We recorded EC...
